Plastic Greenhouse Cover

Greenhouses provide ideal growth environments for plants (vegetables, fruits, flowers). Greenhouses protect plants from external factors such as rain, wind and cold, and provide a balanced environment that allows the plant to develop more quickly. Thus, it allows for several harvests per year.

With new generation technologies and appropriate production formulations, greenhouse covers can optionally provide features such as resistance to sun, light and temperature control, moisture retention and fogging, and resistance to sulfur and chlorine chemicals.

The properties of the greenhouse cover, such as sun resistance period, thickness and other optional additives, are determined depending on the purpose of use (flower, vegetable, fruit, classical agriculture, soilless agriculture, geothermal use, etc.) and the region where it will be used.

Features of Greenhouse Cover:
⦁ The thermic effect
⦁ The light diffusion
⦁ The anti-drip effect
⦁ The anti-mist effect
⦁ The cooling effect
⦁ The disease control effect
⦁ The photoselective effects
THERMİC EFFECT
EVA and Infra-Red additives, homogeneously placed between the layers of plastic film, absorb infrared radiation from the sun and reduce heat losses throughout the night.

The advantages of thermal films are:
Protection against freezing and low temperature
⦁ Smoother temperature drop and generally higher nighttime temperatures
⦁ Reduced energy consumption for heating
⦁ Higher crop yields
⦁ Early harvest
⦁ Better quality product
LİGHT DİFFUSİON
Light from the sun entering the greenhouse through the plastic film is directly split and spread. Light diffusion causes a film to appear hazy to the human eye - but this does not mean that the film is less transparent. The PAR (photosynthetic active radiation) received by the plants is practically the same.

Diffused light has a positive effect on plant growth, especially in areas with strong sunlight on spring and summer crops.

Light diffusion reduces shadows, ensures a more homogeneous distribution of light in the greenhouse, reaching even the lower parts of the plant, prevents burns and offers a moderate cooling effect.
ANTİ-DRİP EFFECT
Droplets formed on the inner surface of greenhouse films due to water condensation have negative consequences on plant quality and growth as they reduce light transmission by 15-30% and increase the incidence of some diseases.

Our plastic sheets are "anti-drip" products that contain special additives that eliminate drips and instead create a continuous thin layer of water on the sides.
Anti-drip films, when used correctly, provide the following benefits::
⦁ More light in the greenhouse
⦁ Higher crop yields
⦁ Early harvest
⦁ Higher quality crop, higher commercial value
⦁ Less disease
⦁ Reduced need for pesticides
ANTI-MIST EFFECT
It is used to prevent the fogging problem that occurs as a side effect when the Anti Drip additive is used.
COOLİNG EFFECT
In many parts of the world, there is an increasing need for films that reduce excessive daytime heat and provide a cooler environment in the greenhouse. Especially in the "tropics", areas with strong sunlight and hot weather, a "cooling effect" is becoming increasingly necessary in nurseries and for shade-loving ornamental plants.

It has been proven that during the day inside the greenhouse, the higher the outside temperature, the greater the temperature drop achieved by "cooling" films.
DİSEASE CONTROL EFFECT
Special disease control additive is used which contributes efficiently to “Integrated Pest Management” and helps reduce pesticide use."

An important type of disease and insect control film is "UV-blocking" films, which absorb UV radiation up to 380 nm, thereby:

Reducing the population of whiteflies, thrips, miners, aphids and other insects in greenhouses, thereby also reducing the viruses vectored by these insects.
Control of the spread of certain diseases (such as botrytis) by reducing sporulation of relevant pathogenic fungi.

Reducing the "darkening" of red rose petals, thus increasing their commercial value.
PHOTOSELECTİVE EFFECTS
It is a series of special films containing additives and pigments selected to modify the light spectrum entering the greenhouse and thus change the growth behavior of the plants (photosynthesis and photomorphogenesis). Using such films it is possible to increase yields, promote or delay growth and cause elongation or dwarfing of the stems.
