The most ideal material for vegetable production in soilless agriculture is Cocopeat bags. 90% of the world's soilless agriculture is commonly done in cocopeat beds. In cocopeat strawberry production, WASHED-low EC soilless agriculture bags should be preferred. Strawberry roots do not like too much water. In addition, Botrytis disease can cause commercial losses in strawberry production due to high humidity and water. For these reasons, 70/30 mix cocopeat mixes are also offered to producers as an alternative to 100% pith mix.
